Not illustrated. 1900 Excerpt: ...order to raise the necessary capital, which will be redeemed on receipt of compensation from the Government, it is therefore obligatory that tbe company should be taken out of liquidation, through the sanction by the Court of tbe scheme of arrangement, after approval at the meetings of holders of all classes of the company's capital. The proceeds of the iSFue of the proposed first mortgage bonds will be applied in discharge of the floating debt, in the restoration and repair of tbe railway and rolling stock, to the general purposes of the company, including payment of interest due and to accrued interest due in respect of the prior lien bonds series "A"and"B," prior to January I, 1901. From that date to July 1, 1906, or ut-til tbe first mortgage bonds shall be redeemed, the rights of the holders of prior lien bonds to proceed against the company for default inpayment of interest shall be suspended, and interest shall ooly be paid on such bonds if the company has surplus net revenue after providing for working expenses and the charges on the first mortgage bonds. On the expiration of tbe period of suspension these rights are to be fully restored; but any interest accrued due and unpaid is to continue cumulative and only payable out of surplus net profits. On the passing o' the scheme the company shall be deemed to have created 1,102,300 of debenture stock, to be called income debenture stock, divided into class A: 730, ooo(corresponding to theexisting six per cert, debentures), carrying non-cumulative interest at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum; and class B: 372,3CO (corresponding to the arrears of interest to December 31, 1899, on the existing six per cent, debentures), carrying non-cumulative interest at the rate of ...
